Many of you may not be aware about the devastation wrought upon the facilities of L. Bernardo Memorial High School. I was in Luisiana for the Todos Los Santos and I had the opportunity to visit LBMHS. I included a visit to LBMHS in my itinerary because I knew that we were hit by a very strong typhoon while I was in the US in October.

The Board of Trustees of which I am the incumbent Chairman is appealing to the alumni of LBMHS to pitch in in the repair of the school facility. We can offer to name a post or a classroom in honor of the classes which will help donate funds for the purpose. One post is estimated to cost P20,000 while a classroom will cost P200,000.
So far we have received the following pledges: 1. Willie Reodica C$ 100.00 2. Luisiana Association of Southern California $1,000.00
Hoping for your generous contribution,
Rudy Estrellado rudy@...

Re: LBMHS
Dear Josie and all concerned, I have read the many email messages and received many phone calls of concern with the fate of LBMHS. These would not have been possible if not for the sincere concerm and trepidation of many alumni and friends of LBMHS. On behalf of the LBMHS Board of Trustees, I am taking this opportunity to extend the LBMHS thanks and gratitude to all who went out of their way and extend assistance to relieve the pressure off the school in its desire to continue on providing good education to our young and talented kababayan. Thank you Myrna, Vangie and Josie for the coordination and the solicitation which you have undertaken. My affection goes to Maynard and Boy who were the first to send in their financial contribution. We still ahave a long way to go to return to normalcy but our hearts are full of joy knowing there are alumni and friends out there who really care. If anyone is contemplating on providing assistance, please do not hesitate to call on Dra. Nita Leobrera, LBMHS President or to send an email to me at: eagle162@... May the Joyful Season continue to bless you and your family. Happy Holidays, Rudy Dear Myrna, Necy and to all our kababayans,
Maligayang Pasko and Masaganang Bagong Taon! May the blessings and joy of Christmas be with you all and best wishes for the New Year!
On this holiday season, I can truly feel and witness the true meaning of Christmas. I'm personally overwhelmed with the tremendous positive response of concern from our kababayans to the students and to our dear high school, Luis Bernardo Memorial High School. On behalf of LBMHS and my brother, Rudy Estrellado, we sincerely appreciate your support and assistance in rebuilding the school and in giving LBMHS students a chance to have a normal way to acquire knowledge. Let me take this opportunity to acknowledge the donors as listed below:

To Our Donors:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!!!!
I intentionally delayed my pledge of donation 'cause I want to make sure I still have a job. Sabi nga nila.....Charity begins at home. When I came back from attending the reunion in Canada last year, I found out that our hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Of course the employees were the last one to know. For one year and a half we don't really know wether our hospital will recover from bankruptcy or totally close. But last Tuesday, there was a town hall meeting where they announced that St. John’s Queens and Mary Immaculate hospitals where I work for the past 25 years will officially transfer to Wyckoff’s affiliate, Caritas Health Care Planning, Inc. effective Jan.1st of this coming year. Victory Memorial Hospital where Polly Laguador worked will close early next year. Luckily he retired this month.
I sent emails and contacted some of my high school classmates. Most of them are willing to donate but so far the following will donate:
Evelyn Zalameda Eichelberger.............................$1,000.00 In memory of Eugenio & Eufemia Oblepias..............$100.00 Evangeline Villatuya Robles................................$1,000.00
Evelyn and I thank our husbands for their wholehearted support
This is the season for giving................Namamasko po ang LBMHS

The Class '67 Foundation, Inc. has announced plans for all members stationed all over the world to come home for a Grand Re-Union in December 8, of this year. The overall theme of the celebration is "Life Begins… at 40."
Manny Alvarez, Norma Milaor-Gorospe and Florita Apaya-Serrato are now busy organizing a souvenir program to commemorate this grand occasion. They plan to give part of the proceeds from the publication of the souvenir program to their Foundation's Educational and Assistance Program, and a portion for the rehabilitation of the BMHS structures damaged by typhoon Milenyo.
The Educational Assistance Program of Class'67 is the longest running and consistent program of its kind in Luisiana. It started in 1989 and, without fail, has already produced 38 graduates – 32 in high school and 6 in the college level. I wish Class '67 for a productive and successful grand re-union. May your class continue to grow in strength and work for the common welfare of our kababayan.
Rudy

Feb.in
Marinduque, hopefully we can arrange Luisiana medical mission also. We did one
together with the Lions in Zambales, can we do it with the Rotary?
